Home / From Castellini to C&C Milano

1850

Pride in its family history and the heritage of a longstanding textile tradition contribute to forming C&C Milano’s strong identity. The bond between textiles and the Castellini family dates back to the mid-XIX century when Clateo developed his passion for linen and took over a wool and hemp spinning factory. Initially this factory specialized in bags for the Italian Post Office, anti-hail covers and cheese-cloth. As it evolved the company concentrated on the use of natural fibres, later developing ranges of household linen and the famous deckchair fabric for the Lido in Venice and the beaches of the Adriatic and Mediterranean.

1970’s TESSITURA BRAGHENTI

In the 1970’s the company merged with Braghenti of COMO, a mill specializing in silk for men’s ties and women’s wear, and under the guidance of Emanuele developed a complete range of fabrics and yarns. Later in the 1990’s Braghenti Castellini was achieved by the silk colossal Ratti of Como, with whom he collaborated until the creation of C&C Milano.

1996

C&C Milano was founded by Piero and Emanuele Castellini in 1996, by the fusion of two different skills which have their roots on the one part in architecture, and on the other in textiles.

The first Milanese Showroom opened on via della Spiga with a focus on decorative fabrics, mostly linens and silks, and finished products for the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. These were showcased alongside accessories and homeware. Looking to the future a shop in Paris and a large showroom in the Milano-Malpensa area will shortly follow.

2005

The Milanese flagship store dislocated in 2005 (further renovated in 2010). Now based in an old part of Milan, a residential area rich in history and wonderful buildings, near the magnificent Da Vinci's Last Supper and Santa Maria delle Grazie. The new store chosen by Piero and Emanuele Castellini offers our esteemed Milanese customers, architects and interior designers a wide choice of elegant fabrics designed for the home interior, contract projects and outdoor garden and leisure.

2010

It’s the year of the opening of an Outlet showroom in an industrial green area of Oleggio, a small village in the Novara countryside. Now the public has access to various lifestyle products and 'out of collection' fabrics. Some items are one off ex-display, used during fairs, photoshoots or showcases.

2013

Two new prestigious showrooms opened in London (2013, right) and Monaco DE (2015, left).
