Wool is the fiber that comes from a great variety of fleece of sheep or lamb and it is one of the most used material to manufacture fabric both for apparel and interior decoration. Wool is a natural, renewable and biodegradable fiber, naturally thermoregulating and can absorb more that 35 percent of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet to the touch; is naturally fire resistant; is self-cleaning and can absorb odors. Silk is a protein fiber produced by silkworms, the most shimmering and bright among animal fibers. Silk filament is obtained by unwinding the cocoons of the worms Bombyx mori in hot water and then spinning 4 to 8 filaments (long up to 1 km) together into a single thread. The silk yarn, produced from continuous filaments, has a great tensile strenght and a natural shimmer because of its triangular molecular structure that acts like a prism and refracts light.
