Maia is a luxurious woven roving in 100% hemp undyed colored in fabulous golden honey shade from nature. Maia carpet is sturdy and resistant yet very smooth and really comfortable to walk on. Maia has a unique minimalist appearance as well as being one of the most environmentally friendly carpet in the C&C Milano collection.

Hemp is a tall, sturdy plant that is grown to make a variety of products, from foods to textiles. Hemp is a natural bast fiber along with jute, bamboo and flax. It is a rapidly renewable fiber and can be grown with minimal water; it requires also low-maintenance and low use of chemical inputs. Once the hemp fiber is extracted from the stem, processing it into yarn is largely mechanical with minimal environmental impact. When used by itself, hemp is one of the strongest natural fibers and has always been valued for its durability.
