The word Senek indicates the peculiar knotting technique used to construct carpets in Central Asia. A Senek carpet takes shape by knotting the weft threads on the solid warp, every knot brings each end on the surface separately creating a tufted effect. Tightly assembled, with 120.000 knot per square meter, the carpet is extremely long lasting and gets more beautiful over time also because the natural and mineral pigments used to dye silk get a more vibrant and intense shade.
