For this Manhattan loft Paris Forino used the clients' one main request, that the apartment's palette be in shades of pink, to give meaning to the room: “She wanted everything pink,” Forino says of the landlady, “and the husband said : 'Ok, let's make it pink'”. To prevent the family from finding themselves living in a riot of cloying colors, Forino used warm, solid tones of pink in all the common spaces and other areas of the apartment: “When you stay at home you feel happy. It doesn't look like a child's room,” says the designer about the result.
Paris Forino has developed a reputation for creating interiors of timeless elegance and understated luxury infused with beauty, light and harmony. She creates fully conceived and exquisitely executed spaces marked by thoughtful consideration of proportion, purpose and emotional experience. C&C Milano Ugolino upholstery fabric has been used to decorate the kitchen's stools, with an elegant shade of reddish pink.
