Le case del Prato: AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi
Two small wooden buildings, immersed in the peace of the Val d’Adige, this is The Case del Prato; a project by AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi. This collaboration created six additional and unique rooms, expanding the Hôtel Zimerhof in Redagno di Sopra, Südtirol. The remarkable element of this project is the concept behind it, to salvage the wood from trees devastated by storm Vaia, which in 2018 destroyed 8.7 million cubic metres of forest. The special synergy created between the project and the environment around it, of elegance and comfort, added to this the consideration of sustainability make this “author’s installation” a visionary environment. Design and craftsmanship merge through the use of technique and materials, allowing technology to fit in respectfully, relaxing guests away from the hectic pace of the city. Inspired by the “genius loci”, Michele De Lucchi and ANMDL CIRCLE complement the imagery of the surroundings through the natural textures and purity of C&C Milano fabrics, using linen for curtains and upholstery.
